At Lochter Activity Centre, we offer a fantastic Fly Fishing and Bait Fishing experience that is perfect for those who love the outdoors and want to try their hand at fishing.
Our Fly Fishing experience allows you to test your skills and technique as you cast your line into our well-stocked lochs. Our experienced instructors will provide guidance on the best casting techniques and offer tips on how to catch the fish. The Fly Fishing experience is perfect for beginners, and our instructors will ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable time.
Alternatively, our Bait Fishing ponds are also well-stocked and provide an excellent opportunity to catch fish. The Bait Fishing experience is perfect for those who prefer a more relaxed and leisurely fishing experience. Our experienced instructors will provide guidance on the best bait to use and offer tips on how to catch the fish.
We have recently increased the stocking of double sized trout (over 10lb) to test your skills. These trout are stocked over and above our normal stocking levels and are bonus fish for catch and release only. This has proved very popular with anglers eager to land one.
At Lochter we also have three bait ponds stocked with 1 1/2-4lb Rainbow Trout. It's ideal for groups, parties and younger children to try their hand at fishing. All bait catches must be kept and paid for.
After a hard days fishing why not relax in the Bothy Bar with a cold beer and reflect on the days catch.
